Are you excited for Star Wars: Battlefront? The eagerly anticipated reboot of the beloved action game series based on the Star Wars universe is now almost finally here, and while we await an official release date (speculated to be revealed time this month), GameStop may have gone ahead and spilled the beans a bit early. Based on listings from Gamestop Italy, it appears the game will be out on December 10, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Such a release date makes sense- it is right in the thick of the lucrative holiday season, which is the busiest shopping time of the year, but it also manages to cash in on all the hype and hysteria that the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will generate.
Now, let’s hope the game manages to have a smooth launch, and is worth all the years of hype and anticipation- DICE has had a rough time getting games launched smoothly lately, and mucking up the launch of a game associated with a brand as large as Star Wars will definitely be a monumental disaster.
