With 2016 at an end, and 2017 now officially underway, Microsoft decided to share a blog post, outlining their vision for this year for their fans. And according to Microsoft, Xbox fans have a lot to look forward to this year- specifically, Microsoft mentioned ‘terrific titles’, ‘exciting enhancements’ to Xbox Live, and the most powerful console ever made with the Xbox One Scorpio.

“We expect 2017 to be a special year for Xbox gamers,” Microsoft said. “We will not only launch the most powerful console ever in Project Scorpio, but we also plan to bring a number of exciting enhancements to Xbox Live. And we’ll deliver a terrific portfolio of new games with Xbox Live support on Xbox One, Windows 10 or both this spring.”

It does look to be a crucial year for Microsoft- they have several important game releases coming up, with Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, and Scalebound; they have the launch of Xbox One Scorpio coming up. And they are riding a wave of goodwill, ever since the launch of the Xbox One S. 2017 could be make or break for Microsoft’s Xbox ambitions- it is extremely important that they do not mess it up. Let’s hope that they do not.

Ahhh, the poor Sony pony Xrat is in tears now.

can hardly wait for E3 this year, it will be spectacular. I wonder if sony is regretting rushing the Pro.

Sony didn’t rush the Pro. The console was never meant to make owners of the PS4 feel like they wasted their money. People obviously don’t recall the intial outrage over the Pro when it leaked as Neo. For Sony this console serves as a half for new comers or for diehards that want improved resolution and performance. Not only that, but will make it easier to continue making games for the console when the PS5 releases.

“Microsoft promise” Yeah, I’ve heard that before.

Another sad end-of-year statement from MS. At least last year’s had software sales numbers. Interesting that Sea of Thieves isn’t alongside Halo Wars 2. Looks like Xgimps are getting another dry year.
