Need for Speed: Most Wanted in consideration for PS3/Vita cross buy

Posted By | On 15th, Aug. 2012

Publisher Electronic Arts is deciding whether to go for the cross buy feature for its upcoming racer Need For Speed: Most Wanted, developed by Criterion Games.

Sony announced the feature at GamesCom along with the list of games that will allow you to get a free copy of the Vita game incase you go for the PS3 version – one of them is the new Ratchet and Clank.

A Sony spokesperson told IGN that, ‘We’re taking it under consideration, but we have no plans to announce at this time.’

The game will be released this October for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS Vita and also the iOS devices. It remains to be seen how many publishers actually use this cross buy feature to provide a lot of benefit to Vita owners. This is one of the good things Sony has done so far and hopefully it will be a success for them.
