The Wii U Pro Controller had a fair few issues – the analog sticks placement, maybe, as well as the general build quality not exactly inspiring confidence – but the one thing that it got absolutely right was the battery life. The Wii U Pro’s prowess in this area was legendary, with the controller going for over 80 hours on a single charge.

It looks like the successor to the controller, the Switch Pro controller, keeps its predecessor’s stamina an penchant for going on forever- according to information gleaned from the back of the packaging for the Switch Pro, the controller will go 40 hours on a single charge. Considering how much more tech the witch Pro packs – it has HD Rumble, highly enhanced motion sensors, and NFC tech – this is seriously impressive. Switch Pro charges over USB, and a cable is included with the controller.

In contrast, the DualShock 4 controller is rated for a maximum of 7 hours of battery life, while the Xbox One controller goes on for 30 hours.

  • I’ve profited $104k in 2016 by freelancing on-line and I manage to do it by working part-time for several hrs /day. I used work opportunity I came across online and I am happy that i was able to make so much money on the side. It’s really beginner-friendly and I am just so blessed that I found out about this. Check out what I did…

Lol…looks like they copied the xbox controller. Can’t say I blame them because it almost perfect.

    • Holeybartender

Forget almost,DS4 controller IS perfect. Off set analogs cause thumb cramps because motion is restricted by having thumb too close to hand. My opinion,I hate Xbox controllers.

playing 16 hours straight with no issues proves you’re full of it. The DS4 was made for small Japanese hands

    • Holeybartender

I play for 16 hours too and get thumb cramps so your full of it.The Xbox controller was made for obese Gigantor hands.

you are biased, everybody knows the Xbox controller is the most perfected way of playing games outside of Mouse Keyboard.

    • Holeybartender

My preference is not biased as I have used every controller and mouse/keyboard for 30 years for every system since Atari.Being biased would mean I refuse even try the other ways. It is based on experience and knowledge, not some blind fanyboy allegiance to Sony. I gave good reason why I don’t like the Xbox controller layout and I made it very clear my opinion unlike your unfounded “everybody knows” assumptive comment. I do believe the comment was “Almost perfect” so apparently everybody doesn’t agree.

you belong to really small percentage of people that prefers the DS4 over the Xbox controller, I mean EVERYBODY knows Xbox controllers have always been superior to the PS. but your preference is highly personal not quality/ergonomics/anthropometric based, if studied formally the Xbox controller wins everytime, maybe you just have short hands buddy haha.

    • Holeybartender

I’m 6′ 4″,I don’t have small hands, sorry. And no,EVERYBODY knows is purely subjective and is not definitive fact which is why I limited my comment to my own reasons and refrain from speaking for other people’s preference. Don’t bother trying to prove me wrong because you can’t,which is another reason to limit my comments to personal preference. Gaming sites, polls, scientific studies, you,me NOTHING can back your claims that EVERYBODY says the Xbox controller has always been superior or is perfect for EVERY gamer. Go to as many gaming articles, polls, etc. on the subject as you want and I can guarantee any of them will tell you that which is better boils down to personal preference and opinion.

Now if you want to change yourcomment to ” EVERYBODY knows that opinion’s are like a-holes,EVERYBODY has one.”…..

stfu gamingbolt tells us something we didn’t know

Xbox batteries run for two weeks playing around 3 to 5 hrs daily, so not really impressed, I mean once you have an Elite there I no turning back to ANY controller.

    • Holeybartender

Of course you wouldn’t turn back, you paid 100-200 dollars for it.
