Ubisoft has released its latest financial statements, and in it, it revealed that the PS4 still led its software sales for the period covered by the previous quarter. That means Ubisoft more games on the PS4 than on any other platform, with 44% of its sales coming from the system.

The Xbox One and PC follow with 22% and 21% sales respectively, with last gen systems and Wii U accounting for 2% sales. The Nintendo Switch does not have its own category yet, which makes sense given Ubisoft’s mostly non existent presence on the system for now- that should change with next month’s hotly anticipated release of Mario+Rabbids.

Ubisoft has a highly packed release slate going forward- apart from Mario+Rabbids, there is also Assassin’s Creed Origins, as well as Far Cry 5, and digital content for all of its existing games as services. It will be exciting to see how the publisher progresses from here on going forward.

That’s got to make some xbox fanbois mad that pc nearly beat them despite saying pc is irrelevant.

    Well, is that right?

    Ya dont say?

    Well how about that?

Gee, have those preorders for the Xbox One X gone live yet? I mean, 44 percent sales on the PS4 versus how many people will actually wind up buying an Xbox One X just because it will reportedly have “the best version of every new 3rd party game” if you’re willing to drop upwards of about 500 bones, or more, somehow still sounds like another win for the PS4. Microsoft is just making this way too easy. I see a huge failure in the future for their new console if this PS4 favorism keeps up. Again, why are those Xbox One X preorders taking so long to go live? Seems like something funny is going on if you ask me. Somebody will probably be trying to create a false sense of demand for their expensive new console.

A bunch of them, including premium scumbag Aaron Greenberg, got all aflutter because the Xbollox was the most wished for videogame product on Amazon right after E3. It has since dropped to 12th and is being outranked by two Nintendo Switch SKUs, two PS4 Slim SKUs and one PS4 Pro SKU. Looks like the cold light of day has brought the limp Xbollox into full focus.

LOL. Dropped to 12th already? That is sad. Hilariousness!!!

dont think its allowed go on sale until its past all its FCC certifications and stuff. pre-orders for stuff is getting ridiculous anyway. like if you pre-ordered south park last year youd of had to wait like 18 months, pre-order FC5 wait 8 months, im suprised EA havnt let you pre-order anthem for next year

      Truth.

  • Mr Xrat

Quick, Xgimps, make up some crud about “attach rates” even though the total software sales number isn’t public.

They’re only referring to “:hard copies” lets not get it twisted …
