Star Wars Battlefront Won’t Have In Game Voice Chat on PC

This isn't as big of a deal though.

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront will not feature in game voice chat for the PC version– instead, the developers have asked PC players to use whatever third party client or software they feel is best to chat with friends. While it’s a bit of a bummer that voice chatting with randoms will be stilted as a result, this isn’t as bad as it would be if this were the case for the PC version- Battlefront will be launching on Origin, which has its own built in voice chat client, so you should still be able to get some kind of chat going.

That said, this is something I said when Splatoon launched on the Wii U earlier this year lacking voice chat, and I will say it again- options do not hurt. While I am not the kind of player that likes to use voice chat, I would have appreciated the option, just in case there are other players who do.

Star Wars: Battlefront launches on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in November.
