Ubisoft is one of the biggest publishers in the world, with some of the industry’s biggest franchises and games- from Rayman to Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry to Watch Dogs, Ubisoft is a AAA third party publishing powerhouse. Which is why it matters which system they will push more- it could change the course of the console war. And the system they will push more is the system they do the best on. Which, it seems, judging by their latest financial report, is the PS4.

27% of all Ubisoft software sales come from the PS4 (up from 21% last year for the same period). This marks the second year straight that the PS4 has netted Ubisoft so much software revenue. Interestingly enough, the PS4 is followed up not by the Xbox One, but by the PC, a platform that has traditionally been weak for Ubisoft, owing to their habit of late and often broken releases, hamfisted DRM practices, and of late, their pushing of their own Uplay initiatives.

The Xbox One comes third, at 12% of the total sales, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 are both tied at 9%.

So, you know how Ubisoft abruptly switched course from supporting Microsoft with Assassin’s Creed last year, to Sony this year? Looks like there may have been an actual, tangible reason for that, guys.

    • Shawn Adams

Yeah we can blame all platforms, UBISuckers lol.

  • Rodney Patrick

Yeah it’s because they have no Sony first party AAA games to play

    • Anthony

Totally false and desperate. Why so salty?

    • Rodney Patrick

Totally false and desperate.why so salty…….LMFAO what AAA game you playing from Sony them self that came out in the last few months????? And I’m not talking remakes I’ll tell you what I’m playing forza 6, halo 5 and will be picking up tomb raider next week, yeah I know tomb raider coming out on ps4 but it’s still exclusive for a year so stfu and gtfo

    • Shawn Adams

Dude stfu plz Microsoft last AAA was SOD in Oct. 2014. Up until the release of Forza 6 no AAA for a year. Then when they do release exclusives it’s 2 sequels and a timed sequel.

Microsoft haven’t dropped anything for XBox One owners. That aren’t Gears, Halo, Forza, Tomb fans. Microsoft really bringing a variety games for the players (sarcasm). My XBox One have to wait until 2016 for Recore, Scalebound and QB. It’s real sad that my 1st XBox One exclusive purchases. Will come in 2016 and I had my XBox One since the summer of 2014, lmao.

    • Cypher-Unknown

Come on, beautiful. You can’t be as dumb as you look, surely?

    • Rodney Patrick

The only ones on here are dump and in denial are you Sonyfangirls

    • Cypher-Unknown

Is that English you just attempted?

    • Rodney Patrick

LMAO,that’s all you sonyfangirls can come up with, when you have no answer.try and be more creative next time son

    • Cypher-Unknown

Come on gorgeous, stop being such a sourpuss.

    • DarkSeptember

When you stop using the term ‘sonyfangirl’ will be the time I start taking your opinion seriously , until then GROW UP little boy.

    • Starman

      stfu !!!!

    • Cypher-Unknown

      Haha!

  • Starman

truth be told …. those are hard copies … add up digital to see the real numbers … lol

    • Anthony

      Haha LMFAO!

    • DarkSeptember

Are you really that stupid ? This is a financial report for Ubisofts shareholders. These figures include hard and digital copies.

  • Mark

I guess this is really bad for us Xbots….the next Watchdogs will be PS4!

    • DA-ROOSTER

Watch Dogs 2 will once again run at 900p and once again be total crap

    • Mark

Haha. I was interested initially, but it easily became underwhelming.

    • HisDivineOrder

Perhaps “console exclusive” on PS4. They certainly won’t let all them PC moneys go to waste.

    • Mark

Wait, u really think Watchdogs 2 might be console exclusive to PS4? Haha. I was joking boss. The only way that thing would be exclusive is if Sony paid a basement full of Federal Reserve notes to UbiSoft, to cover potential Xbox sales and for marketing. Even uncle Phil commented on this, that “Sony still pays for 3rd party exclusives”. C’mon. All these stats about “PS4 sales beat Xbox” mean very little to PS4 owners in a tangible way. The Xbox will get the same big AAA multiplats that PS4 gets, till the end of this gen….

    • Rodney Patrick

Exactly, all these Sonyfangirls are just delusional

    • Mark

I keep asking these guys, “what does all these sales mean to u as a consumer”? And I’ve yet to hear a meaningful answer.

    • Rodney Patrick

LMAO,you’re not going to get an answer.acting like they all getting a royalty check from every console Sony sells!!

    • Shawn Adams

Man bet my life as an Microsoft fanboy. You did the same bs with the XBox 369, lmfao.

    • Shawn Adams

Well XBox fanboys are the same way, were you asking them the same thing last gen ?. Because they were doing the same amout of bragging about the 360.

    • Mark

Well it’s asinine either way. For any fanboy.

    • Shawn Adams

Microsoft fangirls mad, Microsoft can’t duplicate. The same level of success with the Xbox Bone. Stop hating on Sony and hold your beloved Microsoft accountable, lol.

    • Shawn Adams

At some point UBiSoft may make a PS4 only exclusive that’s not too far fetched.

    • Mark

Yeah and if they did, it’d take a huge chunk of Sony’s budget that year for other potential games….per my point above. Only fanboys think Sony’d get a free lunch, because of sales lol.

  • DA-ROOSTER

Guess the Playstation fanboys like games that runs at 900p resolution because 90 % of UBSOFT games runs at 900p on the PS4 lol

    • Shawn Adams

Microsoft fanboys do too, you act like UBIsoft games not on the XBox One. They’re not selling more or equally because of so many many XBox Ones sitting on shelves and in warehouses, lmfao.

  • Riggerto

It’s because PS4 is outselling Xbox One 2:1. So they get approximately twice as many sales.

    • Lynne Jandreau

““I “am “ finally getting 95 Dollars“` an hr,….It’s time to take some action` and you can join it too.It is easy way to get rich`.Three weeks from now you will wish you have started today….

Okay xbotmk1 please stop with creating different profiles and then signing into the other ones and giving your self thumbs up…smh we all on here know it’s you loser

    • Riggerto

Is that you Phil? Phil Spencer?

    • Shawn Adams

Lmao, Rodney mad at success but he’s calling ppl a loser, lmfao.

  • XbotMK1

The PS4 is destroying Xbox One in 1st party AAA exclusives as well as multiplatform releases.

Microsoft fanboys are upset over these sales.

    • Rodney Patrick

      Stfu loser

    • Shawn Adams

Mad and hurt because your favorite console. Isn’t generating the dame success as it’s competition, lmfao.

    • DarkSeptember

Is that the best you can do loser ? Why don’t YOU stfu ?

    • Starman

what triple aaa exclusives you lying @$$ sony paid bot …lol brainwashing these little kids .. or trying to ..

    • Shawn Adams

I have both consoles the PS4 desyroying the XBox One in Revenue, Software and Hardwares. Stop crying, it’s just the reality or things. I bet you were cheering on the 360 last gen when it was dominating the PS3, lmfao.

  • John Henry

I was xbox all the way last gen , then they released this sh*t not even as good as last gen . The devs follow the cash flow and it is not @ xbox one that’s dam sure . I refuse this sh*t box . simple as that .
