Please be advised that the following methods are to be used at the sole discretion of the system owner. GamingBolt or its staff members take no responsibility for problems that may arise or issues that may occur from trying the below. Always remember that official support is always the best support.

Lag/Stuttering:

The most widespread and common issue that World of Warcraft: Legion seems to be suffering from right now is the lag. Users are complaining about lag spikes and stuttering ruining their game experience a lot. No official fix for the problem exists yet, but there are some steps that you can nonetheless take to help alleviate the problem:

  • Make sure your AMD and Nvidia GPU drivers are updated
  • Lower your graphics settings in game- this includes reducing the anti-aliasing to zero or minimum, reducing draw distance, reducing shadow quality, turning off V-Sync, and disabling all add-ons.
  • Disable all overlays and resource intensive processes that may be running in the background, including Raptr for AMD users.
  • In the task manager, go to the Processes tab, and set the game’s process to High Priority. Do not under any circumstances set the priority to Real TimeThis will crash your computer.
  • Disable SLI/Crossfire, and any overclocking you may have active.
  • Check your internet connection speeds- often, that is to blame for lag, as opposed to anything happening on your computer.

Mouse Detect Check Box Missing:

  • Try unplugging and replugging the mouse while the game is running
  • Try shutting down your computer, unplugging and replugging the mouse, and then restarting the computer and the game
  • Try the following console command:
    – /console enableWowMouse 0 (disables)
    – /console enableWowMouse 1 (Enables)

Crashes At Startup/Game Not Responding:

  • Disable background processes such as Raptr/anti virus programs/any overlays you may have
  • Make sure that your Nvidia and AMD drivers are updated
  • Disable all recording software- these can often conflict with Direct3D rendering, leading to a crash
  • Try playing the game in Windowed mode
  • Registry cleaning can also help with this issue. One of the registry cleaners is CCleaner.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of World of Warcraft Legion.
