Without fail it seems to always happen, as the Fall season approaches for some reason gamers get excited as hell waiting for any information about Half-Life 3. Now we’re all waiting (impatiently) for any information we can get regarding Half-Life 3. It’s gotten to the point where people online are making wild speculations regarding the title.

People pouring through Steam update logs, trying to find anything related to a supposed ARG that Valve has set up around the next installment of the Half-Life series. For years now people have also been making fan-made trailers with bits and piece of the previous Half-Life titles cobbled together, or even in some cases live-action renditions of what we might expect from the next Half-Life.

We’ve spent some time looking at a few of these supposed “trailers,” and there are some pretty interesting visions out there. Some are done well, others are great because they are hilarious and clearly meant to simply dash the hopes of gamer across the jagged rocks of disappointment.  Whatever their purpose in being created I am sure there will be something below that you find entertaining.

1. Half-Life 3: Trailer

This little trailer appears to be pieced together from other shots. It’s a pretty good and it’s done rather well. Granted, Freeman looks kind of goofy and the “in-game” shots are still clearly out-of-date source engine material, but this little bugger actually flows like a well produced, legit gaming trailer.

It was published on Vimeo.com a few weeks back and it’s totally worth the 70 seconds of spare time you may have. It is unclear whether the person who published this is also the creator of it. Either way, it’s a great view.
