10 Games That Won’t See A Release In 2013

We’ve been in January for a fair bit now and, whilst the post-New Year cheer kept us going for a bit, the usual journalistic cynicism is beginning to set in once more. Previous features we’ve run have been hopeful lists of what we’ll be seeing in 2013, but these promises from various publishers, theorists and developers aren’t always completely legitimate.

Thus we retreat into our more negative sides to tackle ten upcoming games that are unlikely to be making that elusive release window any time this year. We’ve got ten of them for you to ogle and pine for, as they aren’t getting here any time soon.

1. The Last Guardian

This one is probably the best game that's least likely to get released any time soon. The third team Ico game seems to have suffered an endless amount of delays, and it doesn't look like it's getting better soon. With job listings from early 2008 hinting at its existence, The Last Guardian has been in our sights for a while and, though the game was apparently in a playable state at one point, technical difficulties have pushed the game back to a point where Sony's Shuhei Yoshida is unable to promise a release this year.
