RAGE

The return on id, the masterstroke of Carmack, the ultimate FPS of 2011- RAGE has been called many things till now, and from all that we’ve seen so far- and we’ve seen a lot- it might just be able to live up to all the crazy hype. RAGE features a brilliant, large, open game world, amazing visuals running at 60 FPS, a creepy atmosphere to it, an arsenal of weapons like never seen before and more gameplay variety than most shooters these days. We don’t know if it’ll be the best game of 2011, but we do know that it will be a spectacular one nonetheless.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time

Spider-Man games have always been fun (the ones that the devs put some work into, at least), and Web of Shadows and Shattered Dimensions are two very enjoyable, very well made games. Edge of Time seems to be following them in their footsteps with the typical heart-pumping Spider-Man action, and looks like it will be a hell of a game. We can’t wait to play it, and though we don’t know if it’ll ever be as good as Web of Shadows, we do know it’ll be a great game nonetheless.

Battlefield 3

There’s been a lot of hype around EA’s upcoming purported Call of Duty killer, Battlefield 3, and the gameplay videos and info shown so far definitely seem to be doing justice to that crazy hype. Question is, will the game itself be good enough? Well, it sure looks like it. The realism and graphical fidelity Battlefield 3 is offering looks astounding, and I doubt any game will be able to come up with anything to rival it. And anyway, who wouldn’t want to blow up an entire building with an RPG and see it crumbling to dust?

Batman: Arkham City

Arkham City is probably our most anticipated October game. With 25 hours of gameplay, more gadgets, hundreds of bad guys to kill, a lot more villains than in Arkham Asylum and an entire city to explore, Arkham City looks like it will be to Arkham Asylum what Assassin’s Creed II was to Assassin’s Creed. And there’s always the added pleasure of being Batman himself and jumping at enemies from a gargoyle and rendering them unconscious… ah, the joys of being a bat.
