Limbo
Sometimes less is more. Limbo was considered, not only one of the best indie titles and DLC games but also, just generally one of the better gaming experiences of 2010. This was in no small part to its unique and minimalist aesthetic. Its stark black and white colour scheme often meant its environments consisted of little more than a dark background with a few shapes overlaying it. In spite of this sheer lack of detail, Limbo was able to achieve a more isolated and daunting atmosphere through its levels than games with ten times its budget. Money can't buy you everything it seems.
