4. Anisotropic Filtering
AF is an image enhancing technology that smooths out the blur that can occur when viewing certain textures in a game from extreme and oblique angles. Unlike the similar bilinear and trilinear filters of old, Anisotropic Filtering also reduces the blur and loss of detail that can occur with older filtering technologies. I'm still not sure I entirely understand it, but you can really tell when it's no longer there.
