A year is about to pass and just like we will forget all the small things we did this year, gamers will also forget those tiny little stars which twinkled with a lot of brightness but for some odd reason did not caught the attention of many. Through this article we take a look at ten such games which deserved a bit more hype and recognition. Let me present to you the 10 Great Games That Deserved Your Hard Earned Money In 2010.

Note: This list is not ranked.

Yakuza 3

Yakuza 3 is a classic example which had everything right about it but just could not penetrate the western market due to its more Japanese style approach to gaming. The game had an entertaining story with a rich plot and diverse range of characters all backed up by solid visuals and high quality audio. We may never be able to find the reason why Yakuza is not a rage among gamers yet, even though it has all the ingredients to become one.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

I am not sure whether it is a jinx or just bad luck. Ninja Theory is pretty good at what they do. They showed their mettle with Heavenly Sword on the PlayStation 3 and impressed me with their in depth level of storytelling and character bonding. They did more things right than wrong with Enslaved but still the game never really reached out to many gamers. The game had one of the best motion capture and intriguing relationship between Monkey and Trip and some interesting platforming sections which may be a bit similar to Uncharted.

Castlevania: Lords of the Shadow

Castlevania, just like Enslaved did not found the hype and the following that it deserved. The game had beautiful cutscenes, excellent combat, engaging boss fights and a story that you will remember for years to come. What could have possibly gone wrong then? Similarity to God of War may be? But common, don’t all first person shooters play quite similar as well?
