5. Earthworm Jim – Water Pressure:
Earthworm Jim is a great game. In fact, it’s a franchise that needs to come back. This little 2D beauty has the perfect balance of humor and action. Coupled with an absolutely beautiful art direction really made for some great gaming memories, until Water Pressure that is.
This is a timed section of the game with an incredibly delicate glass bubble protecting you from dark, wet, liquid funeral. As a kid playing this on either the Super Nintendo, or the Sega Genesis this may have been one of the most stressful parts of my childhood. I remember powering off my console in anger multiple times with this level. This is a level that people would get frustrated and just give up on at times. They looked great, but man they were frustrating!
