“Snake? Snake? SNAAAAAAAKEE!!!!!”- Otacon, Lots of MGS Games

This quote has reached legendary status by now. Every time Snake dies, the game over screen appears with the oh-so-familiar strums playing in the background, and the memorable words “Snake? Snake? Snaaaaaaake!” playing like music to the ears. Each one of us has shouted this in real life, and posted this on the forums as a meme. It’s a major part of the MGS experience, this quote, and there’s no way in hell anyone will ever forget it.

“Wild Pokemon appeared!”- All Pokemon Games

Anyone who’s played a Pokemon game must be downright dumb to not remember this. Every time you walk into tall grass or a cave and a wild Pokemon jumps at you, you get to read the words “Wild Zumbat appeared!” or “Wild Abra appeared!” or whichever Pokemon it is. Just have a look at the countless memes and slogans this quote has given birth to to get an idea of how memorable it is.

“Finishing this fight.”- Master Chief, Halo 2

This quote is used everywhere. No matter what series it is, no matter what meduim of entertainment it is, as long as it’s a conclusion, people will talk all about “finishing the fight.” This is not famous just because of Halo 2’s notoriously abrupt cliffhanger ending, but because how badass Master Chief sounded when he said this, and what it lead to. And the excitement it created amongst all Halo 2 players. Damn, I still remembered how pumped I was when I first saw this cutscene.
