10. Lan Di - Shenmue Series
The Shenmue games are a classic example of a Bildungsroman, a tale of personal growth. That said, the advancements of hero Ryo Hazuki always feel minimal when compared to the skills of the evil Lan Di. The few times he shows up, Lan Di shows off some crazy martial arts prowess, and acts like an outright bad ass. Everyone kind of wants to be the bad guy sometimes, and he would be one villain I would love to play as for just a little while.
