The video games industry is a strange old place, with plenty of games of all kinds being just plain odd. Not even original, inventive or visionary; just bizarre. There are also other games that manage normality for their majority, only to falter at the game’s conclusion. Either way, here are ten of the weirdest game endings out there.
1. Alan Wake
The ending to Alan Wake was left purposely vague to set up the two DLC chapters that followed the game (rather shamelessly might I add) but, for those who didn't pick up the extra content, the ending makes very little sense. You can sort of cull a self-sacrifice ending from Alan Wake's semi-shambolic conclusion, but something about the execution felt unsatisfying and a little uncanny. Maybe that was the point, but it still came across as a rather strange way to end Remedy's horror action title.
