Twisted Metal PS3

The announcement of Twisted Metal for PS3 at last year’s E3 was quite the surprise. Though two consecutive surprises of that magnitude would likely cause cardiac arrests for all involved, we definitely need to know more about the upcoming exclusive. What better place to learn this new information than E3? We need to know more about the universe the game will be set in, and more about when we’ll see it hit the store shelves.

Eight Days

Eight Days started off life as a very impressive tech demo for the PS3 back in 2006. Though it was soon expanded into a full fledged project, the co-op focused third person shooter was soon cancelled due to a lack of online multiplayer modes. Some interesting news from Sony Computer Entertainment London will now have us believe that, not only is Eight Days back in production but, we will be seeing its new incarnation when E3 rolls around. The game will supposedly now have multiplayer and vastly improved visuals over its 2006 incarnation. Any other information we find out about it at E3 will be a bonus.

NGP

An odd choice to throw into an article about PS3 games, but bare with me on this one. Does anyone remember, during the PS3’s genesis, the hype Sony placed on connectivity with the PSP? Even though it never came into full fruition, Sony have a real chance to rekindle their desire to link the handheld and home console with the NGP. Considering that the NGP is close to the PS3 in terms of raw power, potential compatibility could be a real winner. With Modern Warfare 3 rumoured to offer cross compatibility and be playable between the two devices, we may see more developers announce their support for NGP-PS3 compatibility at E3.
