3. FEAR: First Encounter Assault Recon
The opening mission for this game back in 2006 gave plenty of gamers a fright the first time they booted it up. This game had a real X-Files feel to it, as a specially trained agent moves through the world as he attempts to unravel a government mystery about the facility. Players face off against a scary and spooky little girl called Alma. A girl that has powerful psychic powers, who subjects the gamer to all sorts of terrible and brutal visions throughout the game. It’s certainly a good example of psychological horror used in gaming that still holds up today.
