5. Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Well, if you’ve played this game then chances are you found it pretty terrifying. There is a particular part, early in the game that is probably the first truly frightening part of the game in what became a long line of scary moments. The section that comes to mind immediately is the water section, where there is an invisible demon splashing through water, with the need for players to jump from one piece of solid ground to another. As soon as they touch the water though, the invisible beast charges and basically rips the player apart if he gets to you.
