Throwing Knives In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a great game with a ton of strong suits, although its primitive stealth systems do leave a lot to be desired. The throwing knives work in a rather weird fashion, and Wolf is essentially able to dispatch an enemy using these projectiles from pretty far away, and enemies positioned right next to each other wouldn’t be able to know where the knife came from – and still hold their position. Firstly, it would be very very difficult – even for a trained Shinobi – to be able to throw knives with such accuracy and such force from those distances to be lethal. Secondly, how can someone not immediately take a look at the body and estimate the general direction of the projectile? Lastly, even if they cannot estimate the direction – why not seek cover instead?
