KENA: BRIDGE OF SPIRITS
Kena: Bridge of Spirits grabbed the attention of the masses when it was first shown of in 2020- and for a debut game coming from a studio that’s essentially an unknown quantity in the games industry, that was a big deal. And yes, the final product turned out to be a well-made and enjoyable game as well- but the one thing about Kena that has stood out from its reveal up until even now is its excellent visuals. The Pixar comparison is thrown around all too often in critiques for games (we just did it here moments ago), but in Kena’s case, it really does feel like an accurate analog. From the animations to the character models to the gorgeous and vibrant environments, the game is a treat for the eyes from beginning to end.
