DEAD RISING’S SUPER-HELPFUL FRIENDLY NPCs
The first Dead Rising allows players to make use of NPCs at opportune moments- more specifically, these friendly survivors can be armed and take into boss fights. But what’s remarkable about this is that the survivors who accompany you have infinite ammo. Not only that, they also don’t die, in that the boss simply ignores them, and pretends like they’re not here. To balance things out (a little bit, at least), Dead Rising makes sure that these NPCs can’t kill a boss- even though they can unload on them with their infinite ammo weapons and knock the boss down to its last dregs of health.
