23. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
A Link to the Past was the greatest Zelda game ever made before The Ocarina of Time came out. That doesn’t make it inferior though – if anything, it offers a ton of its own unique features albeit from an overhead perspective like Zelda 1 and Zelda 2. You require certain items to access certain areas, to say nothing of traversing back and forth between the Light and Dark Worlds, but the game still offers plenty of range to go and do whatever you want. Truly a masterpiece.
