You knew this was coming! Fans of the series were not particularly thrilled with the ending of Mass Effect 3. The Players felt cheated because they invested so much of their time in the trilogy only to be let down by the ending. So basically before the Extended Cut, players were denied any elaboration of the choices that they made in the ending, and it did not matter what ending they chose: the Mass Relays detonate regardless. Truly a monumental conclusion.
