Garrus Appears in Mass Effect 2 Trailer, But Was Still Not Confirmed At That Point

mass effect 2

Garrus is a popular Mass Effect character, and in the first Mass Effect game, was one of the choices to be used in your party. Garrus is a character whose relationship and potential development was distinct from other characters in the way that he was very much determined to do what he thought was the right thing while having a “cool” personality, and easily attached himself to the player character as a result. His loyalty is in fact one of his distinguishing traits. And so Garrus’s reveal in this official trailer, and rather obviously so a little more than a minute into it, qualifies as a company spoiling the game for itself. As far as character promotion would play out for the entirety of the Mass Effect trilogy, Garrus ended up being consistently popular anyway, so his return was arguably a good choice.
