Delving deep into the dark recesses of horror fiction author HP Lovecraft, The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror that plunges players into an otherworldly recreation of 1920’s USA, a twisted labyrinth of flooded alleyways, haunted trains, and decayed manors. All the survival horror trimmings are present: environmental puzzles, inventory management, and backtracking to previously inaccessible areas, with nightmarish ghouls, spectres, zealots, and – in keeping with Lovecraft’s aesthetic – humungous squirming Cthulhu-type monsters. No release date announced for this yet, but current and past-gen consoles plus PC are the expected platforms.
