Persona 4’s Rise and Kanami
Remember Rise and Kanami from Persona 4 (and the spin-off Dancing All Night)? Hard as it may be to believe (Persona games referencing their predecessors? Shock and awe!) but they actually make a cameo in Persona 5. Head down to the subway station and take a look at some of the advertisements flashing on the pillars. Rise will be seen, being the idol she always wanted. Kanami isn’t doing too bad either, featuring prominently in a separate ad. You really need to play Dancing All Night to know more about the current relationship between Rise and Kanami but as series’ nods go, this is just out of the way enough to be a cool secret. Then again, its inclusion is enough to make you ask when during the series’ timeline Persona 5 is actually set.
