MASSIVE FILE AND PATCH SIZES
This is another one of those issues that next-gen as a whole needs to work at. Games continuing to get larger and larger as they leverage much better technology is a given, but we’re at a point where games are getting too large. Hell, even their patches are often huge. The Xbox Series X and PS5 will give developers the chance to make even bigger games, which is exciting and worrisome all at once. We’ve hit the level where developers now start to need making sure that they tackle these issues on a priority, because having to download a single game that’s over a 100 GB in size isn’t fun for anyone, especially when they regularly get massive patches as well.
