Them and Us
Starting life as a fan remake of Resident Evil 2, Them and Us developers TendoGames Co Ltd. gathered considerable steam during production instead opting to craft something of their own, although the results obviously share DNA with Capcom’s survival horror series. Principle gimmick here though is the choice to play with either classic fixed camera positions or a slightly less challenging over-the-shoulder mode. Story-wise, Them and Us takes place in 1978 following a 9-year stint in prison for player character Alicia, who after a prison transport crash finds herself stranded in a zombie infested mansion. An atmospheric, immersive experience, Them and Us released in 2021 for PC via Steam.
