Eredin is built up as an excellent villain throughout the entirety of The Witcher 3’s long runtime, and every encounter you have with the Wild Hunt and Eredin’s own lackeys drives home the fact that when you lock horns with him, you’re going to be in for a grueling fight. The fight, when it finally comes, is anything but. Defeating Eredin is hardly difficult- it’s not a quick fight, no, but it hardly ever poses a challenge. It’s more about attrition than skill or anything else, which just seems like a disappointing waste of a solid villain.
