Titan – Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy XVI is a game all about scale. The first moments document an epic battle between the world-shaking Eikons (summons), Titan, and Shiva. Titan, in particular, highlights just how colossal these Eikons are, as well as the sheer devastation they casually inflict on the landscape. But the main protagonist, Clive, is no stranger to the power of Eikons either, being granted the power of the Phoenix Eikon early on in the game. After witnessing the initial cutscene with Titan, we’re left anticipating an inevitable showdown between Clive and the indomitable Eikon of Earth. Somehow, the actual fight eclipsed anything we could have expected. The showdown between Clive and Titan is simply one of the most epic Final Fantasy moments. No amount of infantry or party member support could have made a dent in Titan’s towering frame, making for one heck of a 1-on-1 duel.
