The year is 1981, and 19-year old Jeff Dailey is tirelessly trying to beat his score at the Atari arcade game, Berzerk. He slid a quarter into the machine, booted up the game, and slumped to the ground, apparently from a heart attack. A year later, his good friend Peter Burkowski died in a very similar fashion. Even at the beginning of gaming, binging was a force to be reckoned with.
