NAUGHTY DOG CRUNCH
Naughty Dog as a developer is no stranger to being called out for its policies of crunch during development of games, and most (if not all) of their releases over the last few years have gone through gruelling development cycles for everyone involved. The Last of Us Part 2 was supposed to be the game where they addressed those issues though- which, as it turned out, did not end up happening. Prior to the game’s launch, many reports emerged that revealed the long hours of overtime that many developers at the studio were clocking in to ensure that The Last of Us Part 2 met Naughty Dog’s high standards of quality at launch.
