Like Naughty Dog, CD Projekt RED is another studio that has been known to crunch in its drive for perfectionism in the past, but much like Naughty Dog, they had supposedly tried to make a conscious effort to move away from that approach for Cyberpunk 2077’s development. In fact, they publicly said as much on a few occasions as well. Development on the game, however, turned out to be more taxing than CDPR had anticipated, and the studio ended up crunching hard for weeks and months on end in the lead-up to Cyberpunk’s launch anyway.
