Pokémon can contract a strange disease as the Pokérus. When it was originally discovered players were alarmed; what kind of deadly illness had made its way into their treasured creatures? As it turns out, it actually makes a Pokémon stronger, boosting their stats and causing them to level up faster. While the virus’s effects aren’t disturbing, the concept itself seems a little twisted. An illness that spreads throughout your team, mysteriously making them stronger, but the real question is what it does to the trainers? What happens to the young kids who transmit this mysterious disease? Is there a darker side to this usually welcome surprise?
