ANNOUNCED AT E3 2019
This was one of those rumours that seemed like a load of bull the moment we first saw it. Originating on the Beyond3D forums, this rumour listed a bunch of ridiculous specs for the PS5 (including a 24 GB GDDR6 RAM running at a bandwidth of 880 GB/s), and as if that wasn’t enough, it also claimed that revealed at E3 2019, followed by a launch in the first half of 2020. Even if COVID-19 hadn’t happened, there’s no way that timeline would have been even slightly accurate.
