MOTION CONTROLS
The so-called “casualization” of Nintendo during the Wii era may have been blown out of proportion a bit, but there’s no denying that with the Wii’s motion controls, they opened the market up to all kinds of shovelware and games with unnecessarily shoehorned motion controls. For various reasons, the Wii was a massive success, which only led to to Microsoft and Sony both deciding to cash in on the craze as well. Remember when we thought motion controls would become the future of gaming? Yeah, that didn’t happen, but those sure were some crazy times.
