Sting like a Spider, Fly like a Hawk
Was there any game series more emblematic of the punk skater craze of the 90’s and early 2000s than the classic Tony Hawk Pro Skater games? If you haven’t spent a crazy night trying to one up your buddies with increasingly intricate combos in HORSE, or spent hours trying to figure out the final location to finish the Ollie the magic bum mission, you haven’t lived. The titles were so popular, not only did they get ported to everything under the sun, but even some higher profile celebrities like the Wall Crawler himself, Spider-Man, made an appearance in the 2000 entry, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2. I guess his cross-promotion with Littlebigplanet wasn’t a first.
