Walking on individual surfaces and listening to the sounds your foot produces upon contact with them has to be one of the top 3 random and pointless things all gamers do- my personal favourite is walking on wooden surfaces. I love me so good feet-on-wooden-flooring sounds. If you walk on broken glass in GTA 5, you will actually hear it crunching beneath your feet. I love me some good crunching glass sounds as well.
