Given the infamously incomplete state Metal Gear Solid 5 launched in, modders had to shoulder a lot of responsibility to turn it into the game it should have been from the get-go- but even from just a visuals perspective, there are a lot of great mods out there for this flawed masterpiece. There are a couple of mods that we would recommend in particular. Morbidslinky’s Distant Sunlight Shadows and Cloud Shadows mod significantly deepens the shadows in the game (as the name suggests), while lolilolil’s SharpFX Redone mod increases saturation, reduces blur, remakes shaders, and more. In conjunction, the two of these bring about significant improvements to The Phantom Pain’s graphics.
