Titanfall 2
Short and sweet, or more aptly ‘all killer no filler’. Despite being designed around multiplayer Titanfall 2 featured a concise, well-paced, surprisingly varied campaign. This variety came in the form of level design, with each stage offering unique platforming challenges – time travel centric level ‘Effect and Cause’ especially. A broad arsenal of weaponry was on offer for our human-robot dual protagonists, fired fluidly and precise. Most remarkably however – and the reason Titanfall 2 endears – was how the story managed to bridge a deep emotional connection between flesh-and-blood pilot Jack Cooper and his nuts-and-bolts mecha BT-7274.
