#3. ORI AND THE WILL OF THE WISPS
The Metroidvania genre has delivered some truly great games over the last few years, and Moon Studios’ Ori and the Blind Forest has definitely counted among those since it first came out. Will of the Wisps, impossibly enough, is even better. Tight, satisfying platforming, the perfect amount of challenge, massively improved combat, engaging and layered progression mechanics, rewarding exploration, excellent boss fights, stellar music, beautiful and vibrant visuals, and a typically moving and well-told story all come together to deliver an overwhelmingly amazing game.
