XCOM HEADQUARTERS (XCOM: ENEMY UNKNOWN)
The XCOM games have the capacity to get you attached to the soldiers fighting for you like few other games do, so it makes sense that the place your soldiers – and you – call home would be similarly important to the entire experience. From micromanaging your soldiers to make sure they were well equipped to face the fights ahead, to sending out troops on various missions across the globe, the XCOM Headquarters serves as a very important part of the game. This could have easily turned into little more than an extra ancillary activity, but it’s well-designed enough to it turns into a vital part of the entire experience.
