Xbox One and PS4 are light years beyond Nintendo Wii U. Since the Wii debut, Nintendo have decided to stay one generation graphically behind their competition. Wii had the graphics of its predecessors: Gamecube, Xbox, and PS2. Wii U has graphics slightly better than those of Xbox 360 and PS3. If Nintendo wants to come out of that gate swinging with their new “NX” console, graphics are important. No one wants to be stuck with 2005’s graphics in 2015.
