The Great Pokemon War

You’ve probably heard of the Great Pokemon War theory and it does offer an explanation as to why many of the adults, including men, are gone. Basically, before the story of Pokemon Red and Blue begins, there was a huge war that took place in Kanto involving Pokemon. It serves to explain why kids can pretty much do whatever they want and are so obsessed with battle. As for collecting all the Pokemon, it’s done to see which ones survived the war. You’d think it’s all nonsense but when you hear Lt. Surge talking about Electric Pokemon saving his life during the war, it starts to make a little sense.
