In Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, seeing the Joker fake-shoot an enemy before pulling out a real gun and killing them just worked. Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 9 deciding to mimic the exact same move, transforming into a cross between the Joker and Pennywise beforehand? Not cool. You could look at it as a callback to the Joker but Shang Tsung of all people using it?
