Quest Rewards exceeding Quest Cost

This happens a lot in RPG’s. Somebody will send you off to collect money or some inexpensive, common item from another character. When you do so, the original quest giver will reward you with cash or an item worth two, three, or even five times more valuable than whatever it was you were sent to collect to begin with. That’s just terrible business, especially since a lot of the time these quests are given to you by shop owners.
