Dying Light:
Dying Light a game in development from the same company that brought us Dead Island. They are releasing another first person zombie game. Dying Light however is almost exactly nothing like Dead Island. Okay, well that’s not necessarily true either, it’s quite a bit like Dead Island.
It’s got zombies, a survival theme and the ability to build or customize various weapons. What is different about this though is the game is much more of a first person twitch, survival game. It’s fast-paced, has a lot of climbing and free running elements to it and has the added suspense of the undead being incredibly aggressive and powerful once the sun goes down. We can probably assume that Techland is going to conveniently have plenty of quests that can only be done at night.
Even though this game at a glance is shockingly familiar to the Dead Island Franchise, it is indeed very different. It seems as if it’s been thought out more, and there has been more planning put into the gameplay rather than simply scavenging and avoid or killing the undead. Even if you weren’t a fan of the Dead Island series there is still every possibility that Dying Light will give you want you’re looking for in a survival game.
